cyanfilms
cyanfilms is an independent production company based at the South Australian Film Corporation. cyanfilms was formed by Adelaide producers Julie Ryan and Kate Croser in April 2007 to develop and produce feature films with Australian filmmakers, as well as national and global partners.
Since starting cyanfilms, the company has produced MY TEHRAN FOR SALE, an Australian/Iranian collaboration shot entirely in Iran, and BROKEN HILL with US independent producer Chris "Doc" Wyatt (NAPOLEAN DYNAMITE). Production on the adaptation of Louis de Berniere's best selling novel RED DOG is due to commence in early 2010 with cyanfilms' Julie Ryan producing with Nelson Woss under the Woss Group Film banner.
In addition to continually developing and producing cyanfilms' slate, Julie and Kate provide producing and production management services on a range of projects such as feature films, documentaries and TVCs.
They have between them over 13 years experience in producing a range of media projects, and are specialists in remote and challenging shoots having worked in regions as diverse as the South American jungle, Middle East, remote Arnhem Land, Tasmania, Alice Springs and the outback in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia.
The cyanfilms principals enjoy partnering with Australian and international producers and production companies and actively seek out co-production opportunities.
